Company Overview

Dart Mining NL is a base metals and gold exploration and development company with strategic tenement interests covering over 2,300 km2 in north east Victoria.

Dart’s projects are located where the major east Australian Molong volcanic arc converges with the back-arc sedimentary basin of the Lachlan Fold belt.  The volcanic arc hosts disseminated gold-copper porphyry deposits in New South Wales (Cadia, Ridgeway and North Parke’s mines) and the Benambra copper-zinc deposits south of the Dart tenement in Victoria.  The adjacent back arc sedimentary basin is also known to host tin, bismuth, tungsten, gold, silver, lead and rare earths.

Dart holds extensive tenements over this prospective structural zone. Drilling so far at Dart’s Unicorn porphyry has shown mineable grades of molybdenum, copper and silver mineralisation with similar characteristics to Colorado’s Henderson and Climax molybdenum mines, the world’s largest primary molybdenum deposits.  These porphyry mineralisation zones nearly always occur in clusters with Dart also having identified the Morgan project in the same structural corridor as Unicorn and a number of other prospective porphyry targets (including Bunroy and Boebuck) are being identified through a detailed regional geochemical and mapping program.

Dart also has a number of prospective gold targets including the Mountain View lode to the south west where drilling to date has confirmed near surface high grade gold in two parallel lenses which are underexplored and the project is open to the north.  In addition to this Fairley’s prospect near Bright, Victoria, also has excellent JV gold exploration potential as has the Reward Copper project.

Investment highlights:

  • Dart discovered a previously unknown highly prospective porphyry mineral province - “Dart Mineral Province” which remains largely under explored
  • Geological mapping, air borne magnetics and satellite imagery, stream and soil sampling have identified a number of porphyry intrusives targets within Dart’s tenements
  • Unicorn — very large, confirmed mineralised intrusive Mo-Cu-Ag porphyry with world class potential
  • Unicorn — third drill program underway with intent to confirm maiden JORC Inferred Resource
  • Unicorn molybdenum similar characteristics with Colorado’s Henderson and Climax mines, the world’s largest primary mobybdenum deposits
  • Morgan — confirms porphyry cluster potential which is typical of Climax / Henderson type porphyry systems
  • Geochem survey showing up a number of other prospective porphyry targets including Bunroy and Boebuck
  • Mountain View — confirmed high grade gold lode with intersections including 6m @ 7.8 g/t Au and 4m @ 8.72 g/t Au
  • Potential JV opportunities at Reward Copper and Fairleys Gold prospects
  • Excellent infrastructure for potential future mining activities (water, power, logistics) and a supportive community
  • Strong molybdenum market with shortages predicted into the future
  • Solid financial position — cash position of ~$1.43m after a $2m placement and 1:3 rights issue at 6.5 cps
