Regional Exploration

The Reward Copper Prospect is about 10 km NW of Corryong and NE of Cudgewa in the northern section of EL5058.  A program of two exploratory diamond drillholes for a total of 298m was undertaken following both regional and more localised geochemistry programs which identified key anomalous zones.  Significant copper intercepts of 8.4m @0.191% Cu and 3.4m @ 0.490% Cu were highlights and demonstrates  the prospectively of Reward Copper and the potential of the Cudgewa Fault zone to host significant mineralisation related to late stage dyke intrusions and shear structures. Follow up work in the form of further mapping, geophysical investigations and deeper drilling is planned.

Regional airborne magnetics identified a number of prospective intrusive targets within the Bunroy and Boebuck EL’s. Follow up surface rock chip sampling on two of these anomalies has confirmed the existence of anomalous mineralised porphyry intrusive. This supports Dart’s view that the newly discovered Dart Mineral Province may host multiple porphyry intrusives which is typical of many of the world’s most productive mineral provinces including such porphyry systems as Henderson and Climax mines in Colorado USA.  These exciting discoveries remain largely underexplored and require more detailed follow up exploration in the near future.
